My path toward becoming a therapist began in 1999, when I started helping individuals struggling with addiction. I knew early on that I wanted to become a therapist, which led me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Social Work. Over the next two decades, I worked in the addiction field, child welfare, long-term care, and crisis counseling, gaining a wide range of experience with diverse populations. In 2021, I began my internship towards clinical licensure, working with homeless youth and families. This broad background in social work has deepened my passion for helping people overcome life's challenges and become the best versions of themselves, which has now brought me to private practice.
I believe in a client-driven approach to therapy, where individuals are actively involved in their treatment. My therapeutic methods draw from a variety of established theories, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. These approaches help me work collaboratively with clients, tailoring each session to meet their unique needs. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to take control of their own healing process. Through these therapeutic tools, I help individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, addiction, anxiety, and relationship challenges in a way that promotes lasting growth and positive change.
I’m here to support you as you work through life’s challenges. Whether you’re ready to begin therapy or just have a question, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s take the next step together.
